L2 Empuraan was theatrically released on 27 March 2025.
Plot
In 2002, communal riots break out in Gujarat between Muslim and Hindu extremists. In the midst of the violence, a young Zayed Masood and his family flee their home, seeking refuge with Subhadra Ben, a local political activist and the head of a large royal family. She shelters them but is betrayed by her nephew, Munna, who informs extremist leader Balraj Patel of their presence. Balraj leads a violent mob to massacre them. Zayed’s father hides him and his younger brother, Zaheer, in a small compartment before being brutally killed. Subhadra Ben gets shot killed by Balraj. Though Zayed escapes, he later discovers that Zaheer was killed. Traumatized and alone, he is captured by an extremist group that radicalizes children for terrorism. However, he is saved en route to Afghanistan by Khureshi Ab'raam, the leader of a powerful nexus, who takes him under his wing and vows to help him seek revenge.
